Project Overview:

Intellias looks for a seasoned IT leader to join us in a role of Country Head for Spain. The role will be responsible for setting up and running Intellias delivery centres in Malaga and Madrid with focus on innovative software engineering projects in Automotive, FinTech, Telecom, AgriTech and other company’s key industries, for clients in North America, Western Europe and Middle East.

This role could be based either in Madrid or Malaga.

Together with Delivery Verticals, PMO and Technology Office, the country organization will constitute a strong delivery leadership matrix that allows the company to outperform the competition and continue to grow in pursuit of it’s ambition to be large and global IT Services provider.

Responsibilities:

Develop location strategy based on the general company vision and strategy, including the respective location investment yearly budget;
Execute the location strategy through coordination of cross-functional location leadership team, involving representatives from multiple company functions;
Grow location in line with the company's global growth plans;
Implement in location the company's best practices, frameworks and methodologies in engineering, project management and operations management space;
Build and operate an effective and efficient line management organization around all delivery staff in the location, taking responsibility for hiring, firing, managing and growing delivery personnel as well as ensuring their retention, engagement, professional / career development and compensation management;
Proactively plan and maintain talent project allocation, including reserve management, to ensure a reasonable balance between talent availability and billable utilization;
Setup and ensure an effective delivery staff wage management, allowing to keep reasonable wage inflation performance in the location;
Together with cross-functional location team, plan and control location operational budget as well as implement and maintain a highly effective back-office services with reasonable economic conditions in terms of indirect variable costs, including office spaces, IT, admin, recruitment, HR and other services;
Support sales, marketing and delivery verticals with business development activities in regards to location capabilities;
Cultivate the company DNA in the location, based on company's mission, vision, culture and values.

Requirements:

Higher education in Computer Science or similar domain;
General experience in IT industry for more than 10 years;
Director role or higher level experience for at least several years, leading > 100 ppl organizations;
Recent and solid experience with leadership role in large IT services company;
Profound understanding of Spanish IT services landscape, recent experience working on Spanish market for at least several years understanding labor, tax, immigration aspects;
Leadership skills and business savvy mindset;
Fluent English and Spanish language.
